Wanzhi Steel reached a cooperation with the Ugandan agent. The customer ordered 575 tons of wood grain printed color coated coils. The following is the production process of this case.

Customer Background

The customer sent us a few pictures of the effects he wanted. He said he wanted to purchase them for distribution, mainly to the local decoration and building materials market. He emphasized that they must be realistic and highlight the texture of the wood. In addition, the customer also placed an order for some brick pattern color coated coils and matt Pre-painted galvanized coils, requiring the surface of the brick pattern coils to be smooth. If the market is good, he will continue to repurchase. So we arranged production immediately after the customer placed the order.

• Substrate material: cold-rolled steel plate, galvanized steel plate, etc.
• Coating type: polyester (PE), silicon-modified polyester (SMP), high weather-resistant polyester (HDP), fluorocarbon (PVDF), etc.
• Coating thickness: usually customized according to customer needs, generally the upper surface coating thickness is 18-35 microns, and the lower surface coating thickness is 10-18 microns.
• Color: This can be customized according to the RAL color card or samples provided by customers.
• Zinc layer thickness: customized according to customer needs, generally ranging from 20-275 g/m2.

• Substrate preparation: Select a suitable cold-rolled steel plate or galvanized steel plate as the substrate.
• Surface treatment: Degrease, phosphate, chromate, and other treatments are performed on the substrate to improve the adhesion between the coating and the substrate.
• Wood grain printing: Use advanced wood grain printing technology to print realistic wood grain effects on the surface of the substrate.
• Coating: Coat polyester, silicon-modified polyester, high weather-resistant polyester, or fluorocarbon coatings on the surface of the substrate and bake and cure.
• Cooling and cutting: Cool the coated steel plate and then cut it according to the specifications required by the customer.
• Quality inspection + packaging: Check the quality of the finished product, perform standard packaging, and deliver it to the customer.
