Zambian Customer Purchased Blue PPGI Corrugated Steel Sheets

Wanzhi Steel supplied a Zambian customer with 172 metric tons of DX51D PPGI corrugated steel sheets, measuring 0.6 × 1000 × 3000 mm, featuring a Z30 zinc coating and a 15/5 µm coating process, in the color RAL 5015 Ocean Blue.

Located in southern Africa, Zambia has seen accelerated infrastructure development in recent years, leading to a steady surge in industrial plants, warehousing and logistics centers, and commercial construction projects, which has driven growing demand for high-quality roofing materials.

After evaluating multiple Chinese suppliers, this client ultimately selected Wanzhi Group as its partner for this PPGI corrugated steel sheet project. The client chose us because we possess end-to-end manufacturing capabilities—from steel coil production to finished profiled products—which effectively ensure product quality and on-time delivery.

• Product Specifications: The client required uniform product thickness, width, and length to facilitate subsequent construction and installation.
• Color: The client specified RAL 5015 as the product color, requiring no color deviation and uniform surface color across the sheets.
• Delivery: The client set high standards for delivery speed, hoping to complete production and shipment as soon as possible after receiving the advance payment.

Our Solution

• Taking into account Zambia’s local climate conditions and the project budget, we adopted a coating thickness configuration of 15 µm on the front and 5 µm on the back, combined with a Z30 zinc coating. This approach ensures the basic corrosion and rust resistance required for roofing applications while delivering optimal value for money.
• We utilized a high-precision color-coated production line, strictly controlling paint ratios and curing processes to ensure color variation between batches remains within industry standards, resulting in uniform panel color and stable gloss.
• To meet shipping requirements, our company coordinated production schedules in advance. While ensuring product quality and specifications met all requirements, we kept the delivery cycle within 15–20 days.

Production and Delivery

This order employs an integrated end-to-end production model consisting of “coil production—profiling—finished product packaging,” with each stage closely coordinated to ensure consistent and controllable product quality.

1. On our color-coated steel coil production line, we manufacture DX51D Z30 PPGI coils with a front coating thickness controlled at 15 µm and a back coating thickness of 5 µm. The color is strictly formulated to match the customer’s specified RAL 5015 Ocean Blue shade.

2. Upon completion of PPGI coil production, the coils are transferred to the forming workshop, where specialized corrugated sheet forming equipment continuously roll-forms the flat coils into corrugated metal sheets. Sheet dimensions are strictly controlled during the forming process to ensure uniform wave height and spacing, with sheet length precisely maintained at 3,000 mm.

3. After forming, the corrugated steel sheets proceed to the packaging stage. In accordance with export shipping requirements, the sheets are neatly stacked, wrapped in waterproof and moisture-resistant packaging materials, and fitted with protective corner guards. Once packaging is complete, the product specifications, quantity, color, and other relevant information are clearly labeled to facilitate the customer’s inventory check and acceptance upon arrival at the port.
