Our High-Gloss Steel Sheet Products

We operate independent coating and lamination production lines, supported by a technical team dedicated to the R&D of surface materials for home appliances. Our high-gloss PCM and VCM steel coils undergo full-process online monitoring from primer treatment to topcoat/lamination, ensuring consistent gloss and reliable adhesion across every meter of steel strip.

PCM Steel

High-gloss PCM Steel utilizes a continuous roll-coating and high-temperature curing process. A specialized high-gloss coating is uniformly applied to the surface of high-quality metal substrates, forming a dense, smooth, and highly reflective protective decorative layer after high-temperature curing.

Common colors include Bright Silver, Pearl White, Titanium Gray, and Champagne. All colors can be customized into high-gloss versions based on color swatches or the RAL color chart. This product has been mass-produced for use in numerous high-end refrigerator door panels and washing machine cover projects both domestically and internationally.

VCM Steel

VCM steel sheets achieve an even more extreme mirror-like or pearlescent high-gloss effect than PCM by laminating high-performance PET/PVC decorative films onto a metal substrate. Our R&D team recently customized a high-gloss VCM product for a Lebanese client for use in high-end French-door refrigerator panels: a 0.55mm thick galvanized substrate laminated with an optical-grade, high-transparency PET film.

After receiving the shipment, the client provided the following feedback: “The gloss of the actual panels completely exceeded our expectations—it even surpassed the imported materials we used previously. The finished unit looks incredibly high-end.”

FAQ

Q1: What is the key difference between high-gloss PCM steel sheets and VCM steel sheets? How should I choose between them?

  • PCM steel sheets are produced using a roll-coating and curing process. Their surface consists of a paint coating layer, offering uniform gloss, high cost-effectiveness, and excellent mass-production stability. They are primarily available in solid high-gloss colors and are suitable for large-scale, routine mass production of home appliances;
  • VCM steel sheets use a lamination process, featuring a high-gloss polymer film on the surface. They offer a more extreme mirror-like effect, a higher-end texture, and superior scratch and wear resistance, enabling a more refined high-gloss finish.
  • High-gloss PCM steel sheets are the preferred choice for standard home appliance cabinets and mid-range panels, while high-gloss VCM steel sheets are prioritized for high-end doors, built-in appliances, and premium luxury models.

Q2: How should one choose between PCM and VCM high-gloss products? Which is more expensive?

  • PCM high-gloss has a lower cost and offers flexible color options, making it suitable for high-volume, single-color appliance panels with flat or simple curved surfaces (such as refrigerator side panels and washing machine surround panels).
  • VCM high-gloss surfaces offer a more refined finish (capable of mirror, pearlescent, and 3D textured effects) and better resistance to deep scratches, but the unit price is typically 15%–30% higher than PCM. It is suitable for exterior components such as door panels and control panels on flagship models. Both materials are suitable for mass production; we recommend a comprehensive evaluation based on product positioning and budge.

Q3: How long does the high gloss last? Will it fade or yellow over time?

  • The gloss retention of PCM steel depends on the type of paint used. For example, PE paint typically lasts 10 years in indoor settings, while PVDF paint can maintain its gloss for over 20 years.
  • High-gloss VCM steel sheets use weather-resistant PVC or PET films, resulting in high gloss retention. We use high-quality substrates and premium PVC or PET films, ensuring our products retain their gloss for decades.

Q4: Do you offer customization for colors, dimensions, and special finishes?

Yes, we support customization. For colors, we generally follow the RAL color chart; for special colors, we can produce based on samples provided by the customer. Regarding sizes, we offer slitting and shearing services. Finishes can be upgraded to include anti-fingerprint and scratch-resistant options.

Q5: What are the minimum order quantity (MOQ) and lead time?

High-gloss PCM: Minimum order of 5 tons per color and specification; High-gloss VCM: Due to the complexity of the production process and the need for coordination across multiple production workshops, the minimum order is generally 25 tons. The lead time is typically 7–30 business days.
