PPGL Coils In Different Colors
Color-coated aluminum-zinc steel is made from aluminum-zinc sheet as the base material. After degreasing and phosphating, it is coated with an organic coating and then baked. The aluminum-zinc alloy contains 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. It solidifies at 600°C to form a quaternary alloy crystal, with corrosion resistance three times that of pure galvanized steel. The surface is covered with beautiful zinc spangles. As the zinc layer wears away, the aluminum forms a dense oxide layer to resist corrosion, extending the service life.
1. Corrosion resistance: PPGL coils have strong corrosion resistance and, normal service life of up to 25 years. The corrosion resistance of pre-painted coils comes from the maintenance function of the obstruction layer of aluminum and the dedicated maintenance function of zinc. When zinc is used for dedicated maintenance in cutting edges, scratches, and coating scrapes, aluminum forms an insoluble oxide layer, showing a barrier maintenance function.
2. Heat resistance: Color-coated aluminum zinc coil has a high degree of thermal reflectivity, aluminum zinc coil itself is also very good at heat resistance, can be used for up to 315 degrees of high temperature environment.
3. Machinability: Color-coated galvalume steel coils have outstanding processing function, can be pressed, cut, welded, etc., and he coating has good adhesion and impact resistance.
4. Electrical conductivity: the surface of the pre-painted galvalume steel coils is treated with special wax, which can meet the needs of electromagnetic shielding.

Color-coated GI and alu-zinc are distinct coating technologies. Color-coated GI, with a zinc substrate and color pigment, suits mild environments. Color-coated alu-zinc, using an aluminum-zinc substrate, has better corrosion resistance, fitting harsh environments.
The advantage of color coated galvanized steel is its color diversity, which can be adjusted according to your needs, and the price is lower. However, color-coated galvanized color pigments can only provide limited corrosion resistance, in harsh environmental conditions, the color may fade.
The advantage of pre-painted galvalume steel is that its aluminum zinc has good corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity, and can effectively resist the attack of acid, alkali, salt, and other corrosion factors. The color pigment coated with aluminum-zinc has better corrosion resistance and is not easy to fade. However, the price of color-coated galvalume steel is relatively high.
