Manufacturing Process

• Cold-rolled steel sheet, hot-dip galvanized steel sheet or electro-galvanized steel sheet is selected as the substrate, and the surface is cleaned to remove oil, rust and impurities.
• Phosphating, chromizing, passivation and other surface treatments are carried out to form a conversion film and enhance the adhesion of the coating.
• The primer is applied by roller coating, spraying or dipping, and baked and cured to form a solid primer layer.
• The topcoat is applied by roller coating, spraying or dipping, and baked and cured to form the final topcoat layer.
• The steel coil is tested for appearance, coating adhesion, corrosion resistance, weather resistance, strength and other aspects.

What are the Types of Coatings?

Polyester (PE)

• Polyester coatings are widely used due to their good weather resistance, chemical resistance, and processing performance.
• Commonly used in construction, home appliances, transportation and other fields.

Silicon-modified polyester (SMP)

• SMP is a silicone-modified polyester coating, one of the coatings used by Wanzhi Steel, which can maintain the service life of steel coils at 10-12 years.
• It is developed using a mixture of polyester and silicone reagents. The role of silicone is to improve the light retention and weather resistance of the polyester coating.
• In general, the higher the silicone content, the better the performance of the coating. It is particularly suitable for applications that require higher durability.

High Durability Polyester (HDP)

• This coating is improved on the basis of ordinary polyester to improve its durability and weather resistance.

Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)

• PVDF coatings have excellent weather resistance, corrosion resistance, and chemical resistance, and are the most superior of this type of coatings.
