How Is Galvanized Strip Made?

The first stage

The whole roll of strip steel is pickled and decontaminated to achieve a bright and clean surface.

The second stage

Galvanizing: After pickling, it is cleaned in the tank of ammonium chloride or zinc chloride aqueous solution or mixed aqueous solution of ammonium chloride and zinc chloride, sent into the continuous annealing furnace, and entered into the galvanizing tank for galvanizing.

The third stage

The galvanized strip plate is put into storage, and the galvanized layer can be according to customer needs, generally not less than 50g/ square meter, of which any sample shall not be less than 48g/ square meter.

Both galvanized steel strips and hot-rolled coils are metal materials used to make a variety of steel products. 1. The production process

The production process of galvanized strips includes cold rolling, hot rolling, etc., and the hot-rolled coil is produced by high-temperature hot rolling. The cold rolling process of galvanized strips can obtain higher accuracy and a smoother surface, but hot rolling is more efficient than cold rolling.

2. Specifications

In addition, HR coils can sometimes be customized to different sizes and thicknesses according to customer requirements.

3. Thickness

The thickness of the galvanized strip and hot-rolled coil is also different. The galvanized strip is generally thin, usually no more than 3 mm. The thickness of the hot roll is determined according to customer needs, which can reach tens of millimeters or more.

Why does galvanizing corrode indoors?
