Exporting galvanized coils and galvanized sheets to Haiti

The galvanized sheets and galvanized coils order signed by Wanzhi Steel at the end of March arrived at the customer’s designated port last week. This case is the fourth cooperation with the customer in Haiti. We first cooperated 2 years ago. The following is the project record of this cooperation.

Customer background

The Haitian customer is an old customer of Wanzhi Steel. He is engaged in the construction business in the local area and has a wide sales network and a stable customer base. Since Haiti is surrounded by the sea on three sides, customers need to order materials such as galvanized coils and galvanized sheets with good corrosion resistance and high strength to meet the daily humid and hot air and rain erosion.

• 208 tons of galvanized coils, thickness 0.3, 0.8, 1.2 mm, width 1000, 1250 mm;
• 110 tons of galvanized sheets, thickness range 0.5, 1.5, 2.0 mm, size: 1000×2000 mm, 1250×2500 mm.
• The sheets and coils have a unified standard zinc flower surface.
• Delivery time: within 45 days after the contract is signed.

The customer clearly stated that the product must meet the internationally accepted quality standards for building materials, and at the same time, have strict requirements on the thickness and adhesion of the galvanized layer.

Project production process

After receiving the order, we quickly organized production. In the production process, we strictly control every link.

First, we select high-quality hot-dip galvanizing production lines to continuously hot-dip galvanize steel. By accurately controlling the process parameters such as zinc liquid temperature and immersion time, we ensure that the galvanized layer is uniform and dense, and the thickness meets the standards required by customers.

According to the customer’s specifications, the galvanized coils are divided and packaged, and the galvanized sheets are sheared, flattened, and processed to ensure that the products meet the order standards.

Quality Inspection

• When the raw materials enter the factory, Wanzhi Steel strictly tests the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the steel. Only steel that meets the standards can be put into production.
• During the production process, the products are sampled and tested every hour, and the test items include the thickness of the galvanized layer, adhesion, surface quality, dimensional accuracy, etc.
• After the product is produced, a comprehensive final inspection is carried out, and each roll of galvanized coil and each galvanized sheet are checked one by one to ensure that the product quality is 100% qualified.

Packaging and transportation

• Galvanized coils are wrapped with moisture-proof paper and tied with iron sheets to prevent collision and moisture during transportation.
• Galvanized sheets are packed with moisture-proof paper and plastic film in multiple layers, and isolation paper is placed between the sheets to avoid surface scratches.
• After packaging, the products are neatly stacked on pallets for easy loading and unloading, and transportation.
• The mode of transportation is sea transportation, and the goods are shipped from our port to the port of Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Local application

• Galvanized coils are mainly used in the production of steel structure workshops. Their good processing performance and corrosion resistance enable the workshops to be used for a long time under the complex climatic conditions in Haiti.
