Client Background

The client is a comprehensive upholstery company in El Salvador, specializing in high-end hotels and customized furniture. With the development of El Salvador’s tourism industry and the market’s pursuit of quality, the client was looking for a surface material that was both luxurious and weather-resistant, so he finally chose gold stainless steel instead of the traditional gold-plated sheet.

Gold stainless steel fabrication for this project

Wanzhi started the production process after receiving the order.

304 stainless steel was selected by the customer, with an 8K mirror polishing treatment to ensure the surface flatness of Ra≤0.05μm. A transparent coating was added to insulate the air.

Our gold plating process

Vacuum ion plating technology is used to deposit 2μm thick 18K gold layer through palladium catalytic layer to enhance the adhesion of the plating layer. This process eliminates the need for cyanide, which is used in traditional plating, and is environmentally friendly. The hardness of the plated layer reaches HV 800, which increases the wear resistance by 50%.

Customized Packaging Solution

Customized packaging is required by customers:

• Inner layer protection: Winding double-layer PE antirust film, with V-shaped corner guards on the edges to prevent friction.
• Middle layer reinforcement: use honeycomb cardboard bracket to fix the steel coil, axial load-bearing up to 5 tons.
• Outer layer encapsulation: Vacuum aluminum foil bags are sealed and packed into fumigation-free wooden boxes, filled with nitrogen gas to prevent moisture, and labeled with “Fragile/Handle with Care” warning signs on the outside of the boxes.
• Transportation optimization: each volume is fixed in the container planter individually, with electronic humidity recorder for real-time monitoring.
