14 Gauge galvanized steel refers to steel sheets with a thickness of approximately 1.9939 mm (equivalent to 0.0785 inches in the US sheet metal standard). After hot-dip galvanizing, a strong zinc coating is formed on the surface.

The “Gauge” (often abbreviated as Ga) is a common designation system used in North America to indicate sheet metal thickness. Note that this is a completely different standard system from the “American Wire Gauge (AWG)” used for wire. higher number indicates a thinner material; therefore, 14 Gauge is thicker than 16 Gauge and has higher structural strength.

Production and Package

• Pretreatment: The steel base is first treated with pickling to remove surface grease, oxidized layer, rust and impurities.

• GI Embossed Sheet/Roll: The surface is pressed with concave and convex patterns (such as diamonds, orange peel patterns, etc.), and the patterns are formed by cold rolling or hot rolling. The patterns increase friction, improve aesthetics, and slightly increase rigidity.
• Perforated Sheet/Roll: The surface is evenly distributed with round holes, square holes, rectangular holes, long holes and other holes, which are formed by stamping or laser cutting. It is convenient for air circulation and reduces the weight of the sheet while maintaining structural strength.
• Corrugated Sheet: Galvanized steel sheet with a wavy (corrugated) cross-section, made by roller forming process. Enhanced rigidity, easy drainage, and convenient installation.
