14 gauge galvanized steel, or 14 Ga galvanized steel, is a type of steel that is coated with a layer of zinc on the surface of the steel to extend its life. Other commonly used grades are 20 gauge, 18 gauge, and 16 gauge. This format is commonly used in North America, and the thickness of steel under this standard is approximately 1.89738 mm (or approximated to 1.9 mm).
