Customer Background

The customer focuses on the construction of commercial buildings and industrial plants in the local area. The white colored aluminum sheet (PVDF coating) purchased this time is used for the exterior wall decoration of a shopping center and other projects in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. The customer chose the 9016 white color to create a simple and clean visual experience. He wanted a paint that was UV-resistant and corrosion-resistant, and that met the EU EN 1396 standard. After several friendly conversations between the two parties, the cooperation was successfully reached.

Project Production process

• Raw material preparation: 3003 aluminum alloy substrate is used to ensure strength and formability. Imported PVDF coating, Akzo Nobel brand, meets European environmental standards.
• Surface treatment: Degreasing and cleaning to remove oil stains on the surface of the aluminum plate. Chromization treatment enhances coating adhesion and improves corrosion resistance.
• Painting process: epoxy resin primer, anti-rust primer. PVDF fluorocarbon topcoat, double coating, and two baking (2Coats/2Bakes) process, PE film is applied to prevent scratches during transportation.
• Cutting and packaging: Cut into 1200mm width × customized length according to customer requirements. Wooden pallet + waterproof paper packaging to avoid moisture in sea transportation.

Quality Inspection

To ensure that the products meet EU standards, Wanzhi Steel Factory implements triple quality inspection:

• Coating inspection: Use a thickness gauge to check the coating thickness (≥25μm). Colorimeter compares RAL 9016 standard, ΔE＜1.
• Performance test: Salt spray test to test rust resistance. Bending test, T-bend test, coating without cracking.
• Full appearance inspection: Manually check for scratches, bulges, and other defects. Length, thickness, width, size, and thickness inspection.
