Production Process for Pre-painted Steel Coils

In summary, the production process is roughly as follows: → Uncoiling — Cleaning — Painting — Drying — Rewinding

• Substrate pretreatment: The substrate (galvanized steel coil or galvanized-aluminum steel coil) is uncoiled using uncoiling equipment. The substrate coil is then cleaned and undergoes chemical treatment to ensure proper paint adhesion.
• Coating Application: Using a continuous roller coating method, primer and topcoat are applied evenly and sequentially to the surface of the pretreated substrate coil.
• High-Temperature Curing: The painted steel sheets are fed into a continuous baking oven, where hot air circulation evaporates the solvents in the paint and triggers a chemical reaction (cross-linking curing). After this process, the paint transforms from a liquid into a tough, solid film.
• Cooling and Coiling: The cured steel sheets undergo cooling to return to room temperature, then are rewound into coils using coiling equipment. Finally, after passing strict quality inspections, qualified pre-painted steel coils are ready for packaging.

Applications

• Building roofs and walls: This is the most common application. This red color is frequently seen on the roof and wall panels of factories, warehouses, prefabricated houses, and portable buildings, especially in industrial parks.
• Industrial equipment and fencing: Equipment housings, electrical distribution boxes, and factory perimeter fences that require safety markings.
• Transportation-related applications: This red coating can be used for traffic signs, bus shelter exteriors, and similar applications, where the color serves as a visual warning.
• Furniture and appliances: Although less common, this red coating is sometimes used on industrial-style shelving, office cabinets, and even the exteriors of household appliances.
