DX51D+Z150 galvanized steel coil is one of the best-selling products of Wanzhi Steel, as well as one of the most commonly used materials. DX51D+Z is a steel code according to European standards (EN10327), which refers to flat hot-dipped galvanized steel for common uses. Due to its low carbon content, DX51D+Z material has high elongation but average ductility and stamping ability. Besides, its zinc coating thickness (double sides) is 150 g/m2, which provides great corrosion resistance. DX51D+Z is a code of continuously hot-dipped galvanized flat steel products. In DX51D, the first “D” indicates low carbon steel for cold forming, and “X” means that the rolling state of the substrate is not specified. If the second letter is “C”, it means the substrate is cold-rolled steel; while if the second letter is “D”, it means that the substrate is hot-rolled steel.
“51” is the serial number of the steel grade. The number can be 52, 53, 54, etc. The bigger the number, the better the deep drawing performance of the material. Below are the chemical compositions of DX51D.

Below are the codes for different steel grades and applications. Compared with DX53/54D+Z, DX51D+Z is cheaper. You can choose suitable material according to its use purpose.

And the second letter “D” means hot dip galvanizing. If the letter is “E”, it stands for electro-galvanizing.
“Z” and number show the zinc coating thickness. For example, Z150 means the pure zinc coating on both sides is 150 grams per square meter. Z275 means the zinc coating is 275 g/m2, which is about 0.9 ounces per square foot. That’s why Z275 is equivalent to G90. Except for pure zinc coating, “AZ” is used to show the galvalume coating thickness. For example, AZ150 means the base metal is coated with 1.5 ounces of aluminum zinc coating per square foot (double sides). Wanzhi Steel offers AZ30 to AZ150 galvalume steel.
