Project Production

Galvanized coil production process: Cold/hot-rolled steel strips undergo pre-treatment—alkaline washing to remove oil, pickling to eliminate oxide scale, then cleaning and drying. Next, hot-dip galvanizing immerses strips in molten zinc to form a protective zinc layer. Post-treatment includes passivation (for corrosion resistance), oiling (anti-oxidation), and optional polishing (surface flatness). Finally, strips are sheared, coiled, inspected, and stored. The core is enhancing steel rust resistance via zinc layer adhesion.

Strict quality inspection

Wanzhi Steel’s quality control department conducts quality checks on galvanized coils, including: appearance inspection to ensure there are no zinc particles, missing plating, scratches, blackening and other defects; zinc layer inspection, including measurement with a thickness gauge, and adhesion verification through bending tests; dimensional inspection, including thickness, width, length and sickle bend deviation within the standard; performance testing, including mechanical indicators such as hardness and tensile strength; corrosion resistance testing, evaluating rust resistance through salt spray testing.

Galvanized coils are usually wrapped with anti-rust paper and plastic film, with protective plates at both ends, and fixed into rolls with steel belts. PE protective rings are installed at the ends of each roll to prevent bumps and moisture. Avoid squeezing and stacking during transportation, keep ventilation, and protect from rain and sun. Closed carriages are required for long-distance transportation, desiccants are placed in containers, fixed racks are used to prevent displacement during sea transportation, and the rolls are handled gently to prevent deformation, ensuring that the surface and structure are intact after arrival.
