  • Excellent corrosion resistance: 5052 aluminum alloy plate is a rust-proof aluminum plate with good corrosion resistance. It is not easily affected by oxidation and corrosion when used in a humid environment for a long time. It can work in liquid or gaseous media.

Different types of work hardening

5052 “H32”, “H34”, “H38” and other suffixes represent the work hardening state of the material. The larger the number, the higher the strength, but the plasticity decreases.

Meaning of the characters

  • H: Internationally accepted aluminum alloy temper (state) marking method. Indicates that the aluminum alloy achieves the required mechanical properties through cold working (such as rolling, stretching) and partial heat treatment.
  • Numbers: such as H32, H34, H38, are further subdivided into states.

The first digit (HX_): Basic processing method

  • H1_: Cold work hardening only (no heat treatment).
  • H2_: Partial annealing after cold working.
  • H3_: Stabilization treatment after cold working (to prevent performance changes over time, commonly used for magnesium-containing alloys such as 5052).
  • H4_: Painting or similar treatment after cold working.

The second digit (H_X): degree of hardening

  • HX2: 1/4 hard

  • 5052 h32: stabilized after cold working, 1/4 hard state (tensile strength is between O state and H34).
  • 5052 h34: stabilized after cold working, 1/2 hard state (higher strength than H32, but lower ductility).
  • 5052 h38: stabilized after cold working, full hard state (highest strength, but worst plasticity).
  • 5052 h14: slightly cold worked, 1/2 hard state.
  • 5052 H22: partially annealed after cold working, 1/4 hard.
  • 5052 H24: partially annealed after cold working, 1/2 hard.
