What Is Aluzinc Steel?

Aluzinc coating consists of 55% aluminum, 43.3% zinc, and 1.6% silicon (55% Al-Zn coating). The production process of aluzinc steel sheet and coil is similar to that of galvanized steel, that is, hot-dip continuous coating process.

Its corrosion resistance is 2-5 times better than that of galvanized steel. Besides, it has good heat resistance, which can withstand a high temperature of more than 300 degrees. Its surface is smooth with beautiful spangles. But its forming and welding performance is slightly poor. Aluzinc steel is mainly used for roofing and walls, electrical cabinets, home appliances, automobiles, substrates of prepainted steel, etc.

1. Use galvanized sheets instead of GL steel under an alkaline environment;

2. The aluzinc roofing sheets should be installed with a certain slope, which is conducive to drainage and avoids corrosion;

3. Avoid direct contact with wet cement and wet wood, lead, copper, and graphite;

4. Try to not cut on the GL sheets on the construction site;

5. It is not recommended to use alcohol solvents to wipe and clean the surface to avoid damage to the coating surface.
