How Fingerprint Resistance is Achieved

The approximate structure of fingerprint-resistant GL steel coil is: Base Material → Aluminum-Zinc Coating → Fingerprint-Resistant Coating. The specific coating process is as follows:

• After pretreatment, the substrate is immersed in molten aluminum-zinc alloy at high temperatures to form the galvanized coating.
• Following coating formation, a fingerprint-resistant solution is uniformly applied via chemical roller coating. This is then cured through baking to create the fingerprint-resistant layer.

• Hot-dip galvanized steel coils: Due to their poor stain resistance and common use in appliance cabinets and electrical distribution box enclosures, these coils often receive fingerprint-resistant coatings.

• Surface Characteristics: Smooth, dense crystalline structure with a silvery-gray metallic sheen.
• Superior Corrosion Resistance: The GL coating comprises 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc, and 1.5% silicon. Both aluminum and zinc provide corrosion resistance, delivering double protection for enhanced durability.
• Excellent High-Temperature Performance: Maintains stable properties at temperatures up to 315°C (677°F), making it suitable for high-temperature environments. Also offers good heat reflectivity.
• Fingerprint-resistant: A fingerprint-resistant coating (colorless and transparent) is applied over the aluminum-zinc layer, making it resistant to fingerprint and sweat marks while facilitating easy cleaning.
• Strong coating adhesion: The surface coating bonds tightly to the substrate, minimizing the risk of coating peeling during processing operations like bending or shearing.
