246 tons of colored aluminum coils exported to Afghanistan

Recently, Wanzhi Steel reached a cooperation with a large construction company in Kabul, Afghanistan, and successfully exported 246 tons of color-coated aluminum coils.

Customer Background

Afghanistan has little rainfall, strong winds and sand, large temperature differences, and a relatively suitable climate. The customer has a sufficient budget and decided to choose color-coated aluminum coils because he wants to use them in humid areas and pays attention to the lightness and corrosion resistance of the product. This way, while giving full play to the performance of the product itself, it also guarantees long-term use value and also has decorative properties. So he chose this product. Finally, we reached a cooperation and signed a contract.

Order details

The specifications include three thicknesses of 0.4mm, 0.5mm and 0.6mm, the width is 1000mm-1500mm, and the colors are blue, brick red and dark gray, which meet the local architectural style requirements of Afghanistan.

The order adopts CIF terms, and is shipped by sea to the Port of Karachi, Pakistan, and then transported to Afghanistan by land. The whole logistics time is about 30-40 days. The customer is highly satisfied with the delivery speed and product quality.

Professional production process

Our color aluminum coils adopt the international advanced continuous roller coating process to ensure uniform coating and long-lasting color:

• Substrate pretreatment: The customer chooses 3003 and 3004 aluminum alloys, which are degreased, cleaned, and passivated to enhance adhesion.
• Primer coating: Use high-performance epoxy resin primer to improve anti-corrosion performance.
• Topcoat coating: The customer specifies PVDF fluorocarbon coating, which is UV-resistant and anti-aging, ensuring that it will not fade for more than 15 years.
• High-temperature curing: Bake at 230℃ to fully cure the coating and enhance wear resistance.
• Cooling and quality inspection: Wanzhi Steel strictly controls the cooling speed to ensure that the aluminum coils are flat and without deformation.

Quality inspection before shipment

Our QC department will conduct strict quality control on each batch of goods. Including but not limited to the following tests.

✅ Coating thickness detection: ≥25μm, to ensure corrosion resistance.

✅ Color difference detection: ΔE≤1.5, to ensure color consistency.

✅ T-bend test: This is a bending performance test to test the flexibility of the coating and prevent cracking.

✅ Salt spray test: Corrosion resistance test, adapted to the high salt environment mentioned by Afghan customers.

✅ Weather resistance test: QUV accelerated aging for 5000 hours, simulating long-term exposure.

Professional packaging and transportation

We use triple protective packaging to ensure that the product is intact:

• Inner layer: PE protective film wrapping to prevent scratches.
• Middle layer: moisture-proof paper + bubble film to avoid moisture and collision.
